Buddy 50 & Black Cat
posted by Bob | July 29, 2006 | link

Now there is a Buddy for everybody. The Buddy 50 landed at our loading dock this week, along with an explosive companion called the Black Cat.
These two scooters are the latest offerings from Genuine Scooter Company who have been the source for the popular Stella models. While we remain SOLD OUT of the Stella models for the season, we remain hopeful for her triumphant return for next season.
Meanwhile, Buddymania is sweeping, not only the Twin Cities, but the entire nation! While the Buddy 125 has sent many Minnesota residents clammoring for their motorcycle endorsements, the introduction of the Buddy 50 offers the opportunity for registration as a moped. Just your Minnesota Drivers license required.
Stop in to see what the excitement is all about.

Truely Xciting
posted by Bob | May 04, 2006 | link

Kymco has been enticing the US scooter market with a touring style scooter for nearly two years. It is known across the world as the Xciting 500. Although it has been released and met with stunning reviews across Europe, it has just been approved for the US market. Factoring in production scheduling and shipping time, Kymco USA has scheduled the XC 500 for September delivery to dealers. It's $5999 MSRP brings it in at a price well over a thousand dollars less than the nearest competition.
Now the XC has reached our shores using the legendary Kymco 250cc engine platform that has powered the B & W, People 250, and the Grand Vista. With the addition of the XC 250 , Kymco offers four rock solid, yet distinctly different choices to the American consumer.
The XC offers the largest frame size from Kymco and the most amazing brakes
we've seen. For more details, check out what Dave Harrington from Just Gotta Scoot has to say about the Xciting.
We can't wait for the XC 500 but while we do the 250 is giving us plenty to be excited about.
For a limited time, Scooterville is offering the XC 250 with no destination and set-up charges! We have them on the floor for $ 4899.00.

All The News That Fits......
posted by Bob | May 02, 2006 | link

There are lots of new developments in the world of Scooterville. New models, new accessory selections, and new opportuities for the consumer.

Supply shortages and an unprecedented consumer demand for Stellas has created limited availability.
Anticipating the shortage, Scooterville placed orders for as many remaining 2005 models as we could aquire. Although we've been able to keep most of our customers supplied this Spring, we are beginning to run into supply shortages on many colors. We just received our last shipment from the Chicago warehouse. When these are gone, there will be a 2 month stretch before we can restock.
We are excited to announce the introduction of at least four new models from Genuine this season. The first will be the Buddy 125. Attractive, nimble, and FAST are the adjectives that best describe this new offering. We expect to see our first models in mid May.

TGB Introduces 2006 EPA Compliant 2 strokes.
posted by Bob | February 14, 2006 | link

TGB has broken from the pack to lead the way with the first EPA compliant 2 stroke 50cc scooters for 2006.
While many top OEM companies, such as Honda and Yamaha, have abandoned the 50cc 2 stroke platform, for 4 strokes [which tend to be slower with poorer acceleration], TGB pursued the notion of a cleaner burning 2 stroke. They now can offer the American consumer cleaner emissions and robust performance.
Cobra Powersports, U.S.A.'s distributor for TGB, has also implemented two year, unlimited milage, warranty coverage on 2006 models.
The line-up also has also received some stylish cosmetic changes. The popular 101S has been christened the Key West. The popular 303R scooters have been renamed the R5 for the 50cc, and the R9 for the 150cc.
Coming this Spring is the R50X! Without a doubt, this is the most dynamic scooter design to hit the shores of the U.S. in years.
To make room for the incoming 2006 models, Scooterville is offering closeout opportunities on a limited selection of 2005 TGB models. Call for details.

Bajaj Chetak 2006
posted by Bob | January 25, 2006 | link

The much anticipated model changes to the 2006 Bajaj Chetak have not happened. After over 40 years in production, Bajaj Auto has decided to discontinue production of the Chetak model. The Indian consumer, which makes up the majority of Bajaj sales worldwide, has shifted interest from the scooter style to the small displacement motorcycle. As a result, the venerable Chetak will cease to exist after the 2006 model year.
This comes as a great surprise to fans of the Chetak styling both in India and in the Western world, where the retro metal body and 4 speed gearing had garnered a dedicated following.
Scooterville just received its first alotment of 2006 Chetaks. The subtle cosmetic changes to the design are very pleasing. The improvements in paint finish are really incredible. The '06 models come in a choice of three metallic shades. Black, which comes off more as a deep charcoal, jade green, and a warm silver. The finish quality compares with the best we've seen on any scooter, anywhere.
Talk about an instant collector. The 2006 Chetaks. Without a doubt, the finest 4 stroke traditional scooter ever. While they last.
