Getting rid of boxes. Moving: Chapter 2 R.I.P. Evel Knievel

A little bit more than two months has passed since Scooterville uprooted and moved the operation a couple miles down the road to 904-19th Avenue South. People familiar with the Cedar/Franklin, Seward, West Bank area might remember our location as the Easy Riders custom chopper shop. One of the notable remnants is a door in my office signed by Evel Knievel, the icon of stunt riding and dare-devil motorcycle jumps. Evel left us a few days ago to become another Rider In the Sky. Rest in peace, brother. I can't tell you how pleased I am to have your ink on the door.
Did I mention that we really love the new location? Well, we do! So far, the response from customers, both old and new, has been unanimously positive. We had a bit of concern about getting people to the proper co-ordinates. We have had a couple customers who could see us, but had trouble negotiating their way into the parking lot. Nineteenth Ave South, which borders the east side of our store, is a one way street with a north flow. To get to 19th requires taking Cedar Ave southbound past the Junction Bar (formerly Whiskey Junction) and the Cabooze night club and continuing around the block in a counterclockwise direction. Have I scared you away yet? Just call. We're pretty good with directions. Don't use Mapquest! They don't have any idea where we are. The Franklin LRT stop is two blocks from the shop as well. Ed suggested having customers park at the Mall of America and taking the train.

We do have a couple of dates for you to mark on the calander. Scooterville will host the third annual Cabin Fever Rally on January 18th and 19th! This year it's extended to two days with a combo package of a Grand Opening thrown into the mix. Expect more of the same with previous Cabin Fever events. Great prices, great entertainment, great conversation, and a swap meet. Stay tuned for further details.
February 1st-3rd brings us the International Motorcycle Show at the Minneapolis Convention Center. Scooterville will be on hand at the Vespa and Kymco displays and we will have our own spot to showcase the new product from Genuine Scooter Company.

Season's Greetings to all of you and your loved ones! We look forward to welcoming you to our new home in the coming weeks.
