Anyone visiting Scooterville this Summer may have noticed that I am either distracted, or operating at a hyperactive muli-tasking mode. You wouldn't be wrong on either account.
It all began with a notice in late June that our lease would soon terminate (non-renewal) to make way for the wrecking ball.
About a week later the Minneapolis dealer for Vespa /Piaggio scooters announced they would be closing their dealership, leaving the Minneapolis/ St. Paul area without a dealer to provide sales and service.
Upon the reception of the first piece of news, we began a frantic search for a new location.
Enlisting the help of a variety of sources, we considered a great number of potential new locations. We have arrived at what sems to be the best choice. Rumors abound, but the lease is not quite signed (stay tuned. any minute).
Adding Vespa/Piaggio to our already formidible mix is a fantastic opportunity and one we would not let pass. Look for Scooterville to be confirmed in the next few days as the authorized sales and service center for Vespa.
On top of all these developments, Scooterville is experiencing unprecedented volume in new scooter sales. All of these changes are keeping us on our toes and looking for ways to accomodate some significant changes. Stay tuned. We will keep you updated!
